Cinco De Mayo One of the amazing traditional festival of Mexican is Cinco De Mayo. On the 5th day of May, this festival been celebrated in parts of Mexico and the United States. It’s been also observed by Mexican Americans and people of non- Mexican heritage. Cinco De Mayo is also called Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla. In honor of a military victory in 1862 over the French Forces of Napoleon lll, it’s considered as a holiday.

In fact, Cinco De Mayo One of the amazing traditional festival is observed as National Holiday as declared by President Juarez. Within Mexico, it is primarily observed in the state of Puebla, where Zaragoza’s unlikely victory occurred, although other parts of the country take place in the celebration. While it is a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, in the United States, it has evolved into a commemoration of Mexican culture and heritage. After the president, people didn’t give it that important and didn’t considered it as a holiday. Basically their all offices, banks remain close.

But some places Cinco De Mayo been celebrated grandly. Cinco De Mayo refers to enjoying Mexican foods, decorating houses with colorful sheets, and probably a few Margaritas. Among their food item, they have Enchiladas, Mexican Red Rice, Mexican Rice Pudding, Chiles Rellenos, Tacos, Mole Poblano. Besides the celebrations they included – Parades, Music, Folk dance, Battle Reenactments. Some people still take this amazing traditional culture for granted. But some celebrate it grandly. It’s all about one’s enactments towards their Hispanic roots
