At first glance, Raiyan Rubaiyat might seem like just another university student pursuing a career in finance. But look a little closer, and you’ll find a story that speaks directly to every teenager who has ever felt “not good enough.”Raiyan’s journey is not about being a topper. It’s about becoming better than yesterday.
Raiyan is currently pursuing ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) alongside a BBA in Accounting & Finance. While many students focus only on grades, Raiyan focuses on growth.
His academic path reflects his long-term vision: to master financial management, business strategy, and consulting—not just for personal success, but to create meaningful social impact.
For him, education is not about certificates alone; it’s about competence, confidence, and contribution.
In 2025, Raiyan achieved a milestone that changed his perspective forever. He was selected for the Aspire Leaders Program, a global leadership initiative founded at Harvard University.
Out of 36,050 applicants from 180 countries, only 6,175 finalists were selected—and Raiyan was one of them. Later, he became part of the Aspire Institute Alumni Network, joining a global community of changemakers.
Through this experience, he sharpened his leadership, communication, and networking skills while building connections with students and young professionals across 120+ countries.
For a student who once doubted himself, this was more than an achievement—it was validation.
Raiyan believes leadership is not about titles; it’s about service.

From 2019 to 2021, he served as a Student Volunteer at the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC). During this time, he contributed to initiatives that empowered young people and strengthened communities.
His involvement in youth programs, seminars, and workshops helped him develop teamwork, public speaking, and organizational skills. He actively participated in leadership training sessions, career development workshops, and youth empowerment programs—earning multiple certificates and recognitions along the way.
He also:
- Participated in the Youth Tech Summit 2024, engaging with business leaders and innovators.
- Networked with industry pioneers and startup founders.
- Collaborated with consulting teams and innovative entrepreneurs.
- Received medals and recognition in extracurricular competitions.

Each experience added a new layer to his growth.
But the most powerful part of Raiyan’s story isn’t listed on his résumé.
“I was never the bright student who made his parents proud,” he shares. “I often felt like a disappointment when compared to others.”
Like many teenagers, Raiyan struggled with self-doubt. When he went through depression and needed emotional support, he faced misunderstanding instead. Hurtful words and teasing made him feel isolated.
Yet, even in those dark moments, he held onto one belief:
Marks do not define worth.
Instead of competing in what he calls the “rat race,” Raiyan chose a different path. He focused on building real-world skills, developing leadership qualities, and strengthening his mindset.
Step by step, he rebuilt his confidence—through consistency, networking, volunteering, and learning.
Today, he stands as proof that you don’t need to start extraordinary to achieve extraordinary things.
Raiyan’s journey carries powerful messages for teenagers everywhere:
- You are more than your grades.
- Mental health struggles do not define your future.
- Growth is a process, not an overnight transformation.
- Leadership begins with helping others.
- Global opportunities are possible—even if you once felt “average.”
As Raiyan says:
“You don’t need to be extraordinary to achieve extraordinary things—just passionate and resilient.”
With his ongoing ACCA qualification, BBA studies, and global leadership exposure, Raiyan aims to combine finance, consulting, and leadership to contribute to society and help shape a better future.
His story reminds us that success is not about being the best in the classroom. It’s about believing in your value, even when others don’t see it yet.
And perhaps that is the most important lesson of all.
