Bangladeshi students have achieved remarkable success at the International World Summit 2026 held in Malaysia, securing a total of 60 international awards through their participation in the English World Cup and the Science Olympiad. The achievements came through an 18-member delegation led by the International Olympiads Bangladesh (IOB).
Bangladesh’s outstanding haul includes 27 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals, 3 Platinum Awards, 2 Diamond Awards, 9 International Rankings, 4 Dean Awards, 4 Kazakhstan Special Awards, 4 Best Presentation/Best Experimental Scientist Awards, 1 Judges’ Choice Award, 1 Malaysia Special Award, and 1 Science President Award. Among the 18 participants, 17 students earned at least one international award.
Among this year’s participants, Mohammad Arham Johan of Anandaniketan School and College, Sylhet, emerged as Bangladesh’s top performer by winning 13 international awards, the highest by any Bangladeshi participant. Aniruddha Niladri Biswas of SFX Greenherald International School achieved the second-highest distinction, bringing home 11 international awards.
In addition to the competitions, members of the Bangladesh delegation visited the University of Cyberjaya, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, the National Museum of Malaysia, the Petronas Twin Towers, and Istana Negara. The educational tour provided students with valuable firsthand exposure to international education, research, culture, and technology, while also offering opportunities to exchange knowledge and cultural experiences with students from different countries.

Commenting on the achievement, Kamruddin Nishan, Founder and Managing Director of IOB, said, “Bangladeshi students have demonstrated exceptional talent, creativity, and research-based skills on the international stage. This achievement will inspire them to move forward with greater confidence and continue representing Bangladesh with pride around the world.”
Md. Habibul Alam Shimul, Founder and Director of IOB, added, “Bangladesh’s success in international Olympiads reflects the immense potential of our education system. We hope that more students from across the country will participate in international competitions and continue to raise Bangladesh’s flag even higher on the global stage.”
