During the British rule, the demand for establishing a higher education institution in East Bengal became increasingly strong.
Lord Hardinge, the Chief Administrator of Undivided India, visited Dhaka in December 1911 after the decision to partition Bengal was annulled. At this time Nawab Sir Salimullah and many others demanded the establishment of a higher education institution for the people of East Bengal. The University of Dhaka was established in 1921 by the British administration in response to the demands of the people of East Bengal. Pakistan gained independence on 14 August 1947 and India on 15 August. Then the name of East Bengal was East Pakistan.
Although the universities of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Agriculture, Engineering and Chittagong were established between 1921 and 1966, it was not possible to meet the demand for higher education in East Pakistan. Therefore, according to the plan, the foundation stone for the establishment of a university near Dhaka was officially laid at Salna in Gazipur district, 40 km away from Dhaka. But for various reasons, a new site for the university was finally selected in Savar, about 30 km from Dhaka. Asian Highway over Savar. Shining Star in contemporary Bengali literature.Sardar Fazlul Karim, an epistemologist, said about death: ‘The day of death of a person is his real birthday. So the birthdays we celebrate, some in their fifties, some in their forties or sixties – are not very accurate. Because even then the whole portrait is not in front of us. Even then the circuit was not complete. Indeed, the lifespan of a human being can be fully traced only after his death. The biography of Rabeya Khatun, a well-known multi-dimensional writer of Bangladeshi literature, which started on December 26, 1935, was completed on January 3, 2021. She was born during the British rule at her uncle’s house in Bikrampur, then Dhaka district. Her ancestral home is in Srinagar police station. Father Maulvi Mohammad Mulluk Chand, mother Hamida Khatun. Her father was in government service and her grandfather was a hobby poet.
She spent her childhood and adolescence in a rented house in the alleys of Raysaheb Bazar in old Dhaka during the British rule. Rabeya Khatun has lived a colorful and long life. For more than seven decades, she has written literature in concentrated pursuit. Very few Bengali language writers have had the opportunity to write literature for such a long time. Novels, short stories, memoirs, travelogues – all these are her great works.
Rabeya Khatun is one of the pioneers of the ‘new literature’ movement in post-Kallol-post-East Bengal. She made her debut as a writer in the 1950s, when the lives of Muslim women in East Pakistan were marred by many restrictions. Being the daughter of a conservative Muslim family, she was not allowed to go to college after school. After passing SSC, she did not do any formal education as she was not interested in it. Rabeya Khatun has had to overcome many obstacles to write since her childhood. 1947-49. Two or four stories have already been published in newspapers. In the eyes of teenage Rabeya, the dream was to become a writer.
When the dream is about to come true, a letter comes in a hurry from Rabeya Khatun’s elder sister’s father-in-law’s house. The letter read, “The handwritten newspaper of Rabu is seen by the men of the office, for which I have to be reprimanded.” At that time, despite the objections of her parents, Rabu kept herself engaged in the pursuit of creativity. In the course of time, the teenage Rabu of that day became Rabeya Khatun, a well-known multi-dimensional writer of Bangla literature. Honored with the state’s highest honor, the Freedom Award.
Rabeya Khatun was married to ATM Fazlul Haque, editor and film director, on July 23, 1952. Instead of following the traditional path, he chose the work of cinema magazine and fiction at that time. However, in adulthood, she kept herself confined in a ring. To many she was a distant writer. Many of this generation were familiar with her writing or name but were not in touch. The first meeting with the delightful writer Rabeya Khatun took place in July 2012. Her residence in Gulshan is in the ‘corner of the house’. Talks were held with her for a publication called ‘Artificial’. At that time, I learned in conversation, various aspects of life and literature. It is unthinkable to see a humble, sharp personality, low voice, slow steps, full smiling face, behind this personality is an impossibly powerful writer in Bengali language.
Of particular note are Rabeya Khatun’s struggle with literature and her struggle for survival in general in the context of the beleaguered Bengali Muslim society of the 1950s. The dreaminess in which she started her life was not uninterrupted. As a young woman, she went on the longest journey of her life with her four children. That path was not smooth. In addition to writing, she has taught. She was involved in many other things. She was a council member of Bangla Academy. Member of the Constitutional Steering Council of the National Library, Judge of the Jury Board of the National Film Awards, Member of the Council of the Children’s Academy.
Rabeya Khatun’s writing is handcuffed with novels. The subject matter of her writing was as varied as her life experience. Contemporary politics, liberation war, language movement, history of the masses, development of the middle class, settlements, life of artificial citizens parallel to the natural rural life, patriotism etc. were the subjects of her fiction. Madhumati – The first published novel is about the tragedy of the lives of the people of the weaving community. Later, a film was made based on ‘Madhumati’. Other films were made – ‘Glass Walls’, ‘Sometimes Clouds Sometimes Rain’, popular liberation war based novel ‘Cloud after Cloud’.
Over seven long decades, 400 stories, 50 novels, and more than 20 travelogues were published. Children’s literature and other writings worth mentioning. Traveling the country was one of Rabeya Khatun’s addictions. She has toured different countries of the world with intense investigative vision. Travel not only lived well, loved to express her joy and appreciation in words. She has broken the traditional table of writing travel stories in Bengali language. Her immortal writings on the war of liberation, diary of the blockade of nine months – ‘Nine months of 1971’, ‘Slaughterhouse’. Not only the war of liberation, but also the background of the language movement he wrote Ferrari Surya, Ghatak Ratri, Hiran Dah, the name of the garden is Malnichhara and Hanif’s horse. The non-political voluntary social organization “Icche Forum” started its journey on June 1, 2016 in the hope of putting a smile on the face of some disadvantaged people in the society with the dedication of four youngsters, Anto, Masha, Asif and Rupa together.
The first part of the journey was not easy at all for the four young men Obstacles kept coming from various directions, but they did not give up The smiles on the faces of the underprivileged people of the society are the ones who are dearest to them. The longer the journey, the harder it is, but the four young men continue to spread their dreams among other young people in the community.
That’s how they got organized, and four years later, they’ve become the love organization of 30 young people. Just as an indomitable will is required to run an organization, so is money The volunteers of the forum from the very beginning basically deposit some money in the fund of the organization from their own hand expenses or extra expenses every month. They may be small in amount, but enough to make some people smile They may not be able to do much, but they try their best to stand by the backward people of the society.

In March, they organized an awareness campaign against corona in two slum areas of Rajshahi A few days later, they distributed about 500+ masks and 100 pitch hand sanitizers among the pedestrians on their own initiative. Later, the lockdown started and Ramadan came again. At first they helped some people and distributed Iftar, but after a while it was not possible to stand by the helpless people with their own pockets.
Then the organization called on the people of different classes and professions of the society to come forward with them. Using the money collected properly, he visited the homes of 156 lower and lower middle class families and delivered a week’s worth of food as a gift. Their work comes on the page of Pure Frutica Juice, one of the bands of Bengal. Which they admire to many people. 
The founder of the organization further said that not only the backward people but also the young generation of Rajshahi are organized for humanitarian and social activities. They have worked together many times with various other organizations. Icche Forum organized book fairs in 2016 and 2017 with Rajshahi Comedy Club and in 2020 on its own initiative keeping in mind the readers of Rajshahi. Which has recently gained appreciation from book lovers in central Rajshahi.
Other youths of Rajshahi also work as volunteers in the book fair They also have all the wonderful activities centered on different days or festivals. When the founder of the organization was asked about some of the achievements of the organization, he said that the greatest achievement is the love and good wishes of the people for the organization. The most important thing for them is the smiles on the faces of the backward people, which is one of the inspirations of their work.
The organization won the “Youth Excellence Award 2019” in November 2019 in Dhaka for their work. Organized by the Youth Club of Bangladesh and supported by the Foundation for People and UK Aid. Icche Forum is working to improve the living standards of the disadvantaged and backward people of Rajshahi. Some future plans have already been taken Among them are some special plans ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha Which is not possible for them alone.

Hekimkhana,an organization which is ambitious for establishing a connection between the mass people and healthcare & medical sector by unraveling the complexities of health information and making it easy to understand. Because of a huge gap of knowledge, inequalities in the health sector persist.
Raising awareness is a key plank for the people approaching palliative health care. In order to take this initiative towards mass people, Hekimkhana launched an event “SOS(Save Our Souls):A Poster Making Competition”. The purpose of this event is to find out creative minds among mass people and make them interested in presentation and sharing health related knowledge.
The competition started on 12th October, 2020 and ended on 26th October,2020. There were two categories of this competition: Digital posters and handmade posters. The participants were told to make the posters about health-related info-graphic, awareness or campaign posters or any information related to health and well being of humans. More than 100 participants took part. The submitted posters were judged by honorable judges.70% mark was carried on from judges’ remarks and 30% from people’s reactions.

I saw Mr. Ariful Haque walking (almost running) from one stall to another holding a book in his hand named ‘Ekhoni Themona’. This gentleman is carrying the legacy of Their family, isn’t it? Oh! What a big responsibility in his shoulder. Such a responsible man he is. A responsible man of irresponsible work. And, whoever is buying his book, he is taking a selfie with him and giving autographs. And if the person is female he seems to be enjoying.

Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq was my guardian. My icon. Just why me, he was the icon of all junior barristers. As unique as he was as a lawyer, he was also unique as a man. In his death, Bangladesh lost a good child. And the Supreme Court lost a mahiruh of law. We lost one of the son of the Golden Age in Law field.
I was a direct student of Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq. I first saw him at Dhaka University in 1986. One day I am sitting in front of the law faculty. We students are waiting for the class of Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq. In the meantime, a tall, slender man walked straight in front of us and entered the classroom. I still don’t know him. In the meantime the news came that the class has started. I ran. I see he is in Dias. Then I realized that this is Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq. I have known him since then. Within a few days I was able to get his attention.
In 1969 I went to his chamber after the test. I went there and saw a gathering of many people. So many books. I have never seen so many books in anyone’s house before. He used to buy books whenever he got them. When he went abroad, he would bring a book full of briefcases. The junior lawyers in his chambers are sitting here and there. It was great to see the chamber. I passed the law. Then I went to London to do bar-at-law. While studying there, he came to my house one day. Then I passed the bar and returned to the country in 1986. He was the first to invite me to lunch after returning to the country. I was surprised. Hearing this, he said, it is the rule. If someone passes the barrister, the senior will feed him.
Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq had a gentle mind. Just as he has earned crores of taka in his life, so he has spent equally with both hands. Many hospitals, orphanages and colleges have been established with his money. He used to give regular donations to many hospitals. Beyond that, it is up to him to personally account for how many people he has helped. He also twice wanted to help me financially. But I could not get financial help from him. Once in 2006. When my daughter was in London. She had a tumor on her head. One day during that tumor operation, Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq Sir offered me financial assistance. Another time in 2009. This time for my wife. But I could never get financial help from him. Because I was a judge then.
Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq strictly observed the rules and regulations. He also forced the juniors to abide by it. Lime was not protected from drinking. He used to get out of bed at 5 am regularly. He used to prepare himself for the hearing of the case. Arriving in court fully prepared, he would present arguments in a way that I could not. I remember sitting in the court in 1967-6. He is keeping submissions in English in a hurry. We all listen to Justice as if enchanted. He had a stunning presentation. No matter how tough the case is, he makes it easy, his pair is fair in presenting it fluently. At the hearing, he would make references to different cases with each argument. I practiced regularly before becoming a judge. I have defeated a lot of big lawyers then. But I never defeated Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq.
Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq sometimes lost his temper during court hearings. No judge ever said anything about his behavior. Didn’t think of anything. Because, the hearing of Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq was such that no one wanted to miss it.
Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq was the directorate of constitution and company law. He was involved in making many laws in Bangladesh. I have known him for 53 years. Barrister Rafiq-ul Haq was like the Himalayas in Law Field. He was an apolitical man. Did not do politics. He would tell the truth frankly. He was a true patriot. I lost a guardian in his death. Bangladesh lost a good son.

Ritaz Al-Hajmi, an 11-year-old Saudi girl, is hoping to be nominated for the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s youngest novelist. Seize the Day: A Success Story of a Failed Life.
Sometimes in human life there comes a time when everything starts to fail, the lie becomes more obvious than the truth. Loneliness became more apparent at a time when life’s calculations were confusing. Everyone becomes a judge in front of the man standing on the fence of life, but does not stand by his side with warmth and sympathy.
When the ratio of success to failure is measured by family and social criteria, then the wounds of the heart are not measured, the jokes made with life are not measured. The story of such a lonely, lonely life is told in the short novel ‘Seize the Day’ by the Canadian-born English writer Saul Bellow.
But it is not just a story of failure, it is a story of overcoming all the so-called failures and mechanics of the modern world, liberating people from the deep sense of life, liberating them from worldly trivialities and realizing the greatest truth of life.
The novel revolves around the one-day life of the protagonist Tommy Wilhelm, but it is as if Tommy’s whole life is portrayed in that one-day picture – his problems, loneliness, aspirations and failures. And through the depiction of Tommy’s life, the author seems to have highlighted the ugly side of the false civilization of the modern world. He showed how the propensity and competition in the name of civilization is constantly deceiving every human being in all spheres, from personal to family and social life.
The story begins when Tommy goes to the lobby on the 23rd floor of a hotel in New York to collect his letters. Just then he began to feel as if the elevator was going down uncontrollably, a scene that seemed to symbolize Tommy’s life. Not just Tommy, it seems to show metaphorically how we think a lot about our lives, but in the end life goes where it should go.
If the question is, which aspect of Tommy’s life is most clearly revealed in the book? Surely the answer would be his loneliness or the helpless loneliness of the modern man behind Tommy, where man simply finds a little true love, affection, sincerity, the absolute warmth of heart. Let the world judge man now only by his achievements, only by his ability. The individual, the individual heart is there as if unwanted, neglected.
This is how the emptiness of human heart, the unspoken cry of human beings is being created for ages. Not just Tommy, every picture in the book says the same thing, every character wanders alone in his own world.
Tommy’s father, Dr. Adler, whose thoughts are all about himself, can’t even think of his wife and children as part of his life. Money, finances, the pursuit of so-called success have robbed him of the ability to understand his child’s helplessness or to love his child as a father. Isn’t his successful father more helpless than the failed Tommy? At least Tommy holds all the affections of his children in his heart.
The famous American Marxist analyst Frederick Jameson has said about the mechanical form of modern capitalist society that capitalism is unknowingly erasing true emotions from us with its lies. “Capitalism unknowingly results in the lack of authentic emotion” – this is the family system shown in the book.
In a family where almost everyone evaluates each other by their earnings, occupations and achievements, where less money and less establishment is a source of shame for one another, using each other for economic and social security, there is little room left for affection and compromise. For emotional matters. The father is scared every day, when I know the son wants to sit on his shoulder, the son who has failed in his professional life as a mother and sister is not a threat to their social dignity, Rose in this novel and in the real world outside of the novel.
The ups and downs of Tommy’s life bring us another aspect of capitalist society. Let it be clear how this society and regime is further exploiting the exploited under the guise of masks. The reader sees how Tommy loses everything when he tries to trust a patriarchal friend, the reader learns how his wife only exploits him even though their marriage breaks up.
But the most perfect picture of this entangled society emerges when it is seen that the father deliberately neglects and fails to save the child even after realizing the deception that is about to take place, and even refuses to give shelter to the ruined son.
The ultimate truth of this society is revealed in Tommy’s own voice-
“They adore money! Holy money! Beautiful money! While if you didn’t have it you were a dummy, a dummy!”
Lost in the glare of Hollywood, Tommy Wilhelm’s life could have ended in a dark hole of despair and failure. Tommy, seeking to escape the cruel, senseless, mechanical city, may have sought peace in the stillness of death. But a different ending to the novel makes Tommy’s story not a story of defeat, but a story of winning life, and the reader becomes acquainted with the author’s incomparable writing talent.
While reading the book, the reader will hear the story of failure with the destruction of life at the beginning and at the end you will hear how many small incidents, how little one day can change a person’s whole life in a moment. When Tommy, tormented from all walks of life, carries the burden of his cursed life on the streets of the city like a madman, the fate of a stranger’s life explains to him that, contrary to all visible truths, there is the greatest unseen truth of human life. , Yet so-so life, so-so saves people from hiding.
The name of that truth is hope, the name of the bearer of that invisible life is faith. The hope and faith of the poor hero’s suddenly found life turns the novel around. The reader who is lost in the combination of all the bitter, rough truths of the world with the hero should also appear with the hero in front of the most beautiful flower of life – the flower of hope, the flower of love that survives on faith and belief.
From this realization, a man of the world has fallen in love with another stranger with his heart for ages, tears have flowed for the unknown soul. What could be a bigger success in a very small human life! What could be more beautiful in life!

Health related Organization Hekimkhana has recently hosted their first online competition ‘SOS (Save our souls): A poster making competition’. The purpose of this event is to find creative minds among the mass people and make them interested in presenting and sharing health-related knowledge.
Hekimkhana was founded with a noble purpose of providing standard health service to people irrespective of their socioeconomic status. Their target is to create a platform for healthcare where people will find doctor consultation, health tips (video, audio and writing format) and many more. Their work has been started via the Facebook page.
The competition is being held in two categories-
1) Digital posters
2) Handmade posters.
The competition is open for all. Participants are allowed to submit their posters both in Bangla and English or mixed. The topic should be about health-related infographic, awareness or campaign posters or any information related to health and well-being of humans. 70% marks of the competition will be carried from judges’ remarks and 30% from public reactions.

Nathan said the fossil was very obvious and it looked like “a scene on a TV show or a cartoon or something.”They sent pictures of the bone to the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology, which identified the fossil and sent a team of paleontologists to the site.Fossils are protected by law in Alberta, and the NCC said that it is important that people don’t disturb any fossils they may find.
The crew has been working at the site for about two months and uncovered between 30 and 50 bones that came from a single young hadrosaur that was about three or four years old, according to the statement.Hadrosaur bones are the most common fossils found in Alberta’s badlands, but few juvenile skeletons have been found, the statement said. It was also found in a layer of rock that rarely preserves fossils.
“This young hadrosaur is a very important discovery because it comes from a time interval for which we know very little about what kind of dinosaurs or animals lived in Alberta,” François Therrien, the Royal Tyrrell Museum’s curator of dinosaur palaeoecology, said in the statement. “Nathan and Dion’s find will help us fill this big gap in our knowledge of dinosaur evolution.”

And the best part of the event is that it is completely free of cost! As both ‘Teenagers’ and ‘ছোটদের বন্ধু’ both are non-profit organizations, no profit is made through this event. We are not even having any kind of registration fee for the event.

Content creator carnival is a joint initiative of Teenagers and ছোটদের বন্ধু. The way Teenagers and ছোটদের বন্ধু will find out talented competitors, likewise, the ones who show good performance at the carnival would have a chance to join our creative content panel.
We’re explaining about “Content Creator Carnival” event briefly for everyone’s awareness:
1} Content creators would have a chance to work with us for a certain period of time. (those who took part in the event)
2} If both the panel like your works, you will be given a chance to become a mature member of the Creative Content Panel
3} Those who will fill-up the form between 1st October to 15th October will be counted as actual participants.
4} Participants will be added to a Facebook group from 15th to 18th October. We can even add you to messenger group chat for easier communication.
5} We are not collecting any money for this event. Hence if someone is harassed please let us know. If anyone falls in their trap, none of the organizers would take any responsibility.
