Sitting at home (or lying down, standing up) is the end of all challenging games on social media. Starting from Dalgona tired to hear the name of coffee or jilapi anymore? The tingling sound of group chat reaches the ears and now it feels annoying.

Nothing looks good! Meanwhile lemme suggest a movie that makes you feel good.Marathi language pictures, naal.one of the most amazing creation. And obviously something worthy to gain. Producer Nagraj Manjul has bebt 3 crores to make the film and amazingly 40 crores has come back. At the 7th National Film Awards in 2019, the film was handed over to director Shudhakar Reddy, ‘Best First Film of a Director; Trophy.

This movie will make you laugh, cry. And at the end of the movie, a silent wide smile of relief and serenity will stick in one corner of your mind, which we do always ask for an appropriate peace of mind. Without it, summer can be boring from home. This movie will take you away from a pure village far away. Where you can realize the ultimate peace of mind, a refreshment and a huge way of feels that will soak all your hazy tiredness of having a life which is boring and painful.

In the village where the 7-year-old boy lives, Chaita. He wakes up and leaves the chickens, runs around the village, listens to stories from his grandmother, sits like a chicken with his ears regularly outside the school classroom, and when he returns home with pain in his legs, his mother massages him with oil at night. Having such care and love from mom absolutely worth’s the pain of the entire day rush.

Divya sleeps close to her mother’s lap. One day the rhythm of this life happens. Chaita knows that this mother is not his real mother. Then Chaita suspects that this mother does not love him. Thunder begins in the child’s mind. This is how the story exists. And from here the story begins. Malayalam Ottal means trap. Director Jayaraj wrote the story ‘Bunka’ of Russian writer Anton Chekhov with a camera. In 2014, the film bagged all the awards in the main category of the Kerala International Film Festival, rewriting the 18-year history of the festival.

In addition to two national film awards, the film also brought home ‘Crystal Bear’ from Berlin. This story absolutely got a pried for it’s own along with the story maker. The main character of this film is also 6 year old Kuttapai. He has no parents. Jailor Dadu Valiyappachai is his father, his mother (this actor is actually a prisoner, the director auditioned for hundreds of actors and finally visited Jailpara to find him for this role).

This grandfather and grandson got on the boat and chased away the ducks. Kuttapai gives all his food to an unnamed dog and tells Grandpa that he wants to go to school. Wants to learn addition and subtraction. Poverty Grandpa puts his hand on his grandson’s back and sighs in the dark of the evening, saying that the sum of their lives, which is also ‘sum’, is zero. Will they be able to get out of this trap of life?

The name of the third film, Mere Pierre Prime Minister. No, this is not a political film. Like the previous two films, the story of this movie is written on around the 6-year-old boy Kannu. It is the only Asian film to be screened and applauded at the Rome Film Festival. An another amazing creation that pushed everyone, won every heart. Kannu’s slum in Gandhinagar has a fridge, dish-TV, but no toilet.

How will it be? This slum is not in the government register. Officially, therefore, thousands of people in this slum are non-existent. The authorities made it clear that there is no question of building a toilet here. In the dark of the night, Kannu’s mother was raped on her way back after defecation. To protect his mother, the son left for Delhi with a letter written to the Prime Minister to build a toilet without telling anyone.

It bears an unexpected story where the issue is about an expected struggle In Lockdown you can see three pictures of these three languages with your family, children. I promise, time will not be wasted. Moreover, it will worth your time, when you will realize the story.

Bangabandhu theorized the new definition of democracy

0
Bongobondhu

7th March is a special day for the redeemer of the world. The epic pronounced by the poet of politics Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman inspired all the Bangalis to liberate their motherland. Not only this but also Bangabandhu theorized the new definition of democracy.

Abraham Lincoln gave the definition of democracy by termed it as the rule of majority. But Bangabandhu invented the new dimension of democracy on this auspicious day after about hundreds years. Bangabandhu proclaimed, “I even went to the extent of saying that we, despite our majority, would still listen to any sound ideas from the minority, even if it were a lone voice.”

7th Narch
7th Narch

Bangabandhu believed that democracy is not the rule of the majority rather it is the way for the redemption from exploitation, unjust. He wanted to make the people liberated and set them free. He even agreed to listen the single lone voice if it was right and beneficial. It may be happened that sometimes the choice of majority is not beneficial or right.

But the opinion of majority get priority more than anything in democracy. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman depicted the new way and dimension of democracy in this speech. Many of us aren’t aware of this gist of this historical speech. Actually 7th March’s speech was the policy making speech.

The gravity of this day are not bound only for us but also for the whole world. If we can tread the path of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ,our society and above all the Bangladesh will be free from exploitation, unjust, poverty, illiteracy and so on.It is high time to be spirited up.

It is high time to hold Bangabandhu at our heart.Let’s take the oath together to walk in the path shown by Sheikh Mujib. Let’s pronounce “ Miles to go before I sleep And miles to go before I sleep

The most celebrated writer of contemporary time

0
Humayun Ahmed

The most celebrated writer of contemporary time and one of the best story tellers in the history of Bangla literature is none other but Humayun Ahmed. This amazing legend was born on November 13, 1948; at Mohongonj of Netrokona is Bangladesh. His writings have an enchanting charm over bangalees, especially the youth. Not only book lovers, every of the persons even who have less practise of reading books, they do show interest and read books of Humayun Ahmed.

humayun Ahmed

Since the 90’s he has been persuading the young generation like the ‘pied piper of Hamelin’. His work has been drawing leaders for more than two decades. Whatever the topic be ; that is – Fiction or non- Fiction, he always had a story to tell. With unconventional beginnings, endings and characterizations, his work have an unusual spell like quality.

We finding ourselves in those characters We become Himu,Rupa,Misir Ali, Shuvra,Baker vhai while reading his works. We can even find our near and dear ones in Humayun’s portrayal of characters inside his stories. Everything’s relative, whether Himu’s romantic indifference towards Rupa or Misir Ali search for truth, which makes them humane, yet not cliche, and they become a part of our lives.

humayun Ahmed

Humayun Ahmed presented each of the characters of his novel’s, stories, even non-fiction and films in such a way that not only the lead character but also the later lead roles, even the ones with the tinest bit of role in the creation will tell you a different story like the rickshaw – puller in “Aguner Poroshmoni” and also the shopkeeper. Fact is,he never tried to hamper with the reality.

He always wanted to show it as it is. This is what makes him unconventional. He always presented life in a sugar coated way for his readers or audience in his works. Side by side, the way he presented his works all gives us hope. The contradiction between human need or want, reality of life is well presented in his creations, constantly breaking our hearts and bringing tears to our eyes. He made us realized that we hardly ever get what we desire. But still, at least a subtle possibility, a ray of hope is hinted. In Jochhna o Jananir Golpo, he portrayed two endings one where the freedom fighter returns to his newly-wed beloved wife, and another, where he doesn’t. After 400 or more pages of rooting over he gives us what we wanted, desired and hoped for but also lets us know what actually happened in thousands of cases like that in 1971, in the history of Bangladesh.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMA2OW6VVFk

Humayun often portrayed magical or unreal elements as a natural part in the otherwise realistic or mundane environment. He actually wants to tell us how often does it happen that we don’t find concrete explanations for something in life. The answer is “everyday”.

Just because something happening since the beginning of life doesn’t mean something is ordinary and can be explained logically. We get used to these things, that’s why they don’t bother us. Ahmed did always pointed towards these magical elements of life. This writing style of him is often characterized as ” Magic Realistic “. In one of Ahmed’s great pieces ” Debi”, Ranu becomes someone unexplainable to save Neelu.Humayun’s presentation and language prevents from the feeling that what we are reading is a hoax. The far we can go deep into thoughts we realize unexplainable things happen everyday around us. We can even relate to the characters.

This Bangladeshi author, dramatist, screen writer and film director reached the peak of his frame with the publication of his novel ” Nondito Noroke”( In blissful Hell) in 1972,which remains one of the most famous works, winning, admiration from literacy critics including Dr. Ahmed Sarif. He wrote over 200 Fiction and non- fiction books, all of which were best sellers in Bangladesh.

Without any war or revolution, Ahmed’s contribution single-handedly shifted the capital of Bengali Literature from Kolkata to Dhaka. Another influencial Bengali author, Sunil Gangopadhyay described him as the most popular writer of Bengali Language.

Humayun Ahmed

A huge part of today’s young readers claims taking up reading for pleasure only because of Humayun Ahmed. And some of them actually read only his books. He won several prestigious awards for his contribution of Bengali Literature in his life time.

His 2012 film “Ghetuputro Kamola” was selected as the Bangladeshi entry for the Best Foreign language Film at the 85th Academy Awards, but didn’t make the final shortlist. He also won National Film Awards oin different categories over the years of 1993, 1994 and 2012.

Humayun Ahmed left us on July 19,2012. Uncountable tears were shed that day.

Eight years later we still have not accustomed to not waiting for the publication of his new books in Ekushey Boimela every year. His death was not only a great loss for Bangla Literature, but it was a great personal loss too.He became our mentors, our friend, our relative through his writings. We remember him with great reverence on his body and wish him eternal peace in the world of no return.

Coronavirus and Human Life

0

Covid-19 is a word of misery and fear of the present time. The number of deaths due to the Covid-19 or Coronavirus has already exceeded two lakhs fifty-five thousand worldwide. The number of victims is near 37 lakhs and the number of recovered cases is 1224480 on 05th May 2020. According to the data of Bangladesh, till May 06, 2020, the total number of infected people is 11719, 1403 have recovered and the number of deaths is 186.

Coronavirus disease has disrupted normal life. The government is instructing people to stay indoors. The most important examination of student life, higher secondary, has also been postponed.  The law enforcement and the armed forces are strictly controlling the movement of people except for the emergency services.

Millions of people are coming forward after the Prime Minister announced a special stimulus package worth around 1,00,000 crore taka. Many solvent people are feeding the mouths of thousands of disadvantaged and unemployed people.

Cons of the pandemic:

However, the line of thought has fallen on the families of those farmers who are our food suppliers. Many farmers are worried that people may fail to buy food grains if the current financial crisis reaches its peak. However, it is possible to overcome this anxiety with a little bit of planning. Our country’s population and food demand are the same as before, now many farms and farmers are suffering due to traffic unavailability.

Many farmers and ranchers will get rid of this worry only if they can arrange this transport. Many companies in the country do business with food products. If they come together in these difficult times and go to the villages and take the responsibility of delivering the products of those farms and farmers to different parts of the country, the people will not suffer from food shortages and the farmers will not have to worry about the next harvest.

At present, farmers, workers, day laborers are all in danger from their own side. Most of the work in the corporate sector is also done online. It goes without saying that students have somehow stopped studying, although the government has made arrangements for teaching through television, but to a limited extent. Many employees in the country are likely to lose their jobs.

Besides these, many small and medium enterprises have stopped their activities for which they are suffering a great loss. Due to this general holiday and strict laws, many large industries also had to stop their production. For this reason, the business sector is suffering from great loss. For dealing with the situation and to save the economy of our country the government is taking initiatives to start the business and industries slowly in the season of huge business maintaining physical distancing.

Pros of the pandemic:

In the midst of so many evils, Corona has emerged as a blessing to some of us. Our environment has become much cleaner than before. There are fewer piles of rubbish on the roads than before. People are realizing that it is possible to do a lot of work online without going out. People also know how to complete an emergency meeting sitting at home using various cloud meeting applications. This pandemic also taught us strictly to maintain proper health rules. By maintaining hygiene factors, we can prevent many diseases.  People will develop stronger immunity by which we can fight against any pandemic.

Problems that have the possibility to be solved in the aftermath of this pandemic:

I believe that when the coronavirus leaves our country, many more problems would be solved along with it. One of which is the traffic congestion problem in Dhaka city. Even if it does not disappear, it will be greatly reduced. People will be aware of cleanliness. They will learn how to control the dust too. Homes, as well as roads, will be disinfected from time to time. As a result, many viral and bacterial diseases will be less prevalent.

People will get used to being at home. Then no one will go out unnecessarily. At this time, many people will spend their lazy time at home and do roof gardening so that this hot city will be able to make up for the lack of oxygen and the air will be clean and cool. People are also taking part in various online educational platforms for which the level of knowledge of people is also improving. If everyone continues to work on these few issues after the Corona pandemic, we will be able to solve thousands of problems ourselves.

If we follow some small rules in the aftermath of this epidemic, then the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, will be able to delete its name from the list of the most polluted cities in the world and take its place in the list of the most environment-friendly cities of the world.

To do this we need to do the following:

  • At least one tree from each family of that house should be planted on the roof of the buildings or apartments.
  • Use public transport as much as possible to reduce the number of harmful gases emitted from vehicles.
  • Refrain from littering everywhere.
  • Performing all the work that can be done online will reduce traffic congestion.
  • It is necessary to form an area-based committee and make arrangements to spray disinfectant spray regularly.
  • In many areas, various development works were underway. Those remain half-done due to the Corona disaster. The appropriate authorities have to pay special attention to complete them properly
  • Now that no one is going out, all the concerned authorities should clean the sewers in Dhaka so that they function properly.

What’s the harm in tying the knot in hope? Don’t worry about whether everyone else will do it or not. If we begin to take on some responsibility for ourselves on earth. Believe me, as soon as we start, all the people of the whole country will be involved in this work. Through this, everyone will be able to unite. Former mayor, Anisul Haque, used to say, “If people unite, the world can change”.  Why not think about that dear person and do this for our own healthy future?

Crazy times for teenagers that are tough to deal

0

Teenage is such a golden as well as age of difficulties or we can say the age of collapse. Crazy times for teenagers that are tough to deal with. They usually are moody, lazy, selfish, mean. And this crazy behavioral changes in this age we call hormonal time bombs. These must be handled more technically and patiently. Every time if we keep poking them for such behaviors then it might turn to negative actions.

Actually these behavioral changes are too normal but hard to deal with both for them and other members. Still family, elders, peers, need to be more affectionate, supportive, and patient. And obviously, for handling these crazy bombs a healthy relationship between parents and teenagers matters a lot. Teenage is such a stage of teens’ life where they are fond and stubborn for every wrong thing and logically family keeps restricting them thus there keeps a huge gap of mind. So the clash begins. Netflix 2020 Series: Never Have I Ever (Trailer Song)

But family should have to be easy and make them calm and understand what is right and what is not. Because that everything they find colorful is of no means to be good always. And actually this thinking is also up to them due to psychological impacts on this age. We do find them so uncautious and messy regarding their works like not being tidy, leaving clothes in the bathroom, in studies, the mess in the living room, being irritated, losing things, misunderstand elders. These things are not about one or a few children but every teenager.

Because, Teenagers can get frustrated with situations and themselves, as a lot of things aren’t fitting together in their brains. The risk-taking behavior and impulsivity they exhibit because they don’t have full access to their frontal lobes that can cause mood swings and fuel conflict and anger. But elders shouldn’t have lost their temper but condoning teen’s erratic behavior, the hope is that by understanding what is going on their child’s head. In such issues, I must say, parents, should try to stay close to their teenagers even if they seem to push you away. Teenagers

This is the time when mental illness can come on. Parents must be cautious regarding their teens and also to ensure that they just being surely, or is their another explanation. Teens are the age of self-discovery and novelty-seeking behavior, and it’s just natural that they will start to cut off ties. They need to become independent. But it’s a matter of shame, we made the world complex for them. Because of this, parents need to be vigilant and stay connected with them. They do also act weirdly like in choosing outfits and kinds of stuff.

It could be an example of their lack of executive function along with risky, impulsive behavior they’re not planning ahead. Besides they have a very common issue including sleeping. They never go to bed and get up on time. But this is absolutely a biological basis. From puberty to the end of teens, the circadian clock is actually programming them to go to sleep and wake up around 3-4 hours late then adults. We all know how important sleep is for the consolidation of memory and learning. It’s all about strengthening synapses, a process which is chemically impaired in a sleep-deprived brain, this could be a reason for the fights too – everyone knows that sleep deprivation makes us emotionally impulsive.

One of the riskiest sides, we gonna discuss is about teenagers engaging in drinking or dabbling with drugs. That’s the same quantity of drugs and alcohol has a much stronger effect than it does in adults. They can become the reason of brain damage. Studies show that if they smoke pot on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time in their teen years their verbal IQ drops. Along sides, mostly “Technology ” is no way less in deriving teens. They are wasting a vast time on these. The teenage brain is hungry for stimulation.

But there is an unprecedented amount of it in today’s world., maybe more than ever. Studies have shown that while teenagers are better at learning to multi-task than adults, distractions from smartphones, video games, and other devices can still impair learning, so they should switch them off completely when they’re trying to study. At final, what we can say about teenagers’ mental health care should be taken mostly.

Consistent social problems, such as depression, that’s beginning to emerge. That’s why, when kids seem to be socially isolated or gain or lose weight or stop taking care of themselves, parents need to be aware of it. And of course, parents need to be free and stay connected with their teenagers.

Batting genius Brian Lara: The Prince of Trinidad

0
Lara

Batting genius Brian Lara: The Prince of Trinidad.”I enjoy batting. I would not enjoy watching another person batting. I wanted to stay on the field, not in the dressing room, I wanted to bat. If the team plans to bat five sessions, then I will bat five sessions. When my captain announces the innings, I was supposed to leave the field only then.”

The words are from Brian Lara He has reached a peak of 365, 400 *, 501 * runs with the mentality of batting throughout these 5 sessions. And there are 9 double centuries in Test cricket too as his record. 19 of the 34 Test centuries had scores of more than 150! Lara loved to rule in the glister of beauty. The ‘Prince of Trinidad’ was born with the strange skill of crossing boundaries. Batting beauty is the last word of this batting poet.

LaraHis opponent Glenn McGrath may have said for that reason, “If I want to see someone batting with the last penny in my pocket, I’ll watch Brian Lara’s action.” Lara’s name spread to the Caribbean islands in the late ’80s. Kartley Ambrose bowled Lara for the first time and understood what does it mean to be a genius! Brian played against us in 1988. He scored 46 runs that day. I clearly remember, bowling him seemed to have something special in him. ‘

At that time the fast bowler of Barbados team was Joel Garner, Marshall Malcolm.18 years old Lara scored 92 against the Caribbean legendary fast bowlers. Seeing Lara legendary batting against Garner-Marshalls, the spectators on the field also started laughing. One spectator pointed a finger at Garner and said, “You two West Indies fast bowlers couldn’t stop this little boy! I can’t believe my eyes!” Lara’s story spread throughout the Caribbean.

He didn’t have to wait long to get a call in international cricket. But he had to cross an ocean of tireless training and audacious hard way to get his debut cap for West Indies. Despite being on the England traveling team in 1990, he did not get a chance to play. Captain Viv Richards made him bowl 25 overs in the warm-up match. Lara became the driver of the Vive and memorized the roads of England.

And there was also work to draw water during the match. Another legend from the same team, Malcolm Marshall, was skeptical of Lara’s batting technique. He(L) was not even supposed to get a run in international cricket because of such a high backlift according to Marshall! Lara didn’t take long to prove Marshall wrong. In the 1993 Sydney Test against Australia, Lara showed the world his potential. Lara’s first century came in the ninth innings of his career. He turned the century into a double century.

It was going to be a triple century then. Lara’s Test career could have been started with a triple century like Sir Gary Sobers if he had not been run out for Carl Hooper’s mistake during the 277 runs. Australian legend Ian Chappell said of Lara’s innings, “The Australians would not have been able to get Lara out if it had not been for that run-out. It never thought he might be out. That day I realized that this boy could easily score 300 runs. He had plenty of shots in his hand. But in the beginning, the shot was obstructed by the fielders.

However, all the shots he played in the 277 run’s innings were through the empty boundary” Lara’s next century came against England, and the 167-run innings against England in 1994 was an indication of something great upcoming. Something really great comes towards the end of the same series. Lara surpassed Gary Sobers in a marathon inning of 375 runs. Gary set a record of 365 runs in his 17th Test innings.

In his 16th Test, Lara surpassed the homegrown legend to set a new record for the highest individual run in an innings in a Test. Then Rahul Dravid has just started his journey then. Lara’s insanity in world cricket fascinated him. His favorite batsman was that left-arm. Despite being Sachin Tendulkar’s teammate, Lara was Rahul’s favorite batsman. Many years later he said, ‘We were amazed to see what stardom was. What Lara did in the ’90s is incredible. It’s a dream come true for any cricketer. ‘ Wicketkeeper missed Lara’s catch at the very beginning in a match of Warwickshire shortly after the record-breaking innings.

Someone muttered from behind, ‘Ah, he must be done at 100 now.’ The next story is told beautifully by Michael Atherton, ‘Then Lara does one hundred, then another one, then another one, then another one.’ Then who would have thought that someone would score 500 runs alone! Lara scored 501, the highest score in the first-class history so far! When he visited England in 1995, Lara made us recall Viv Richards inning in 1975. 765 runs came from his bat in one series.

Who doesn’t remember Lara’s incredible century against South Africa in the 1998 World Cup quarter-finals! Still, Lara’s that century make chatter storm. Then came that memorable innings in the 1999 Test. As long as cricket lasts, Lara’s 153 * innings against Australia will be written in the golden letter of history.

No one remembers the great innings of 213 runs in Port of Spain, as he played that incredible 153 * in the next Test at Bridgetown. 308 runs needed to win the fourth innings, Lara was batting with Walsh. Lara made history by bringing Australian bowlers down to the rank of club bowlers. Jason Gillespie still remembers the Caribbean star’s innings with a thorn in his side, ‘That innings was an incredible example of finding gaps. But we didn’t do bowling badly. But sometimes you have to hats off to congratulate your opponent.

That day was such a day. ‘ Can it be forgotten about the West Indies team’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2001! The Sri Lankans may have remembered losing 3-0 to the West Indies, but the whole world remembered Lara for another incredible feat by him. Muttiah Muralitharan was a terrible bowler then With Sri Lanka’s spin helpful wicket. There are 688 runs from Lara’s bat in three Tests! Lara could not get rid of Murali in the first Test in Galle. Like the rest of the West Indies batsmen, he could not understand which was the second off-spin, which one is not.

Lara’s teammate Ramnaresh Sarwan used to call Lara ‘Boss’. He asked Lara, ‘Boss, tell me what can be done?’ Lara smiled and said, ‘I don’t understand what Murali is doing. So today I will just sweep. As the series progresses, I will start reading what is off-spin, what is second off-spin from Murali’s hand. Then I will leave the crease and start playing when the last Test comes. In the Gaul Test, 178 runs came from Lara’s bat, 221 in the first innings, and 130 in the second innings of the last Test in Colombo came from the bat of this left-arm batting genius.

In October 2003, Matthew Hayden broke Lara’s record of 375 runs. Lara didn’t like losing the crown to Hayden. Lara took the throne back in April 2004. Returning to the 1994 Antigua Test as a time machine, the same opponent set a new record of 400 against England, surpassing his own record of 375 and Hayden’s 380. Naser Hossain was fielding in a short leg that day. After 100, Lara hinted to Nasser to set a new record, ‘I was short-tempered that day.

After 100, he looked at me and said, “Maybe I can run after my new record.” He knew the wicket was so flat that it was a chance to set a record. Lara didn’t lose his genius even while he came in the evening of his career. The Caribbean legend reached the highest run-scoring record in Test cricket with a 226-run innings in the 2005 Adelaide Test against Australia. Though at the beginning of the innings, Lara was batting in the sleeping mood. But this is the lesson that Lara taught Ricky Ponting that day, not to wake the sleeping lion.

Seeing Lara’s slow batting at the start of the innings, Ponting sat down from the slip and said, ‘Brian, please play some shots. You are bothering us all. ‘ In the next hour and a half, Lara alone added 150 runs. He was dismissed after adding 226 runs in his personal notebook. Brian Lara said goodbye to cricket with the 2007 World Cup. During the farewell, he asked the audience, ‘Am I able to entertain?’

We contacted Anna in Australia and she graciously agreed to answer some questions about the show and her role in it. ~Alexandra Heilbron

How did you get the role? What did you do for your audition and how many auditions did it take?
I saw a notice in the school newsletter and decided it looked fun. The auditions were fun but I had to learn lots of lines from the show for the audition. I had three or four auditions and most of us didn’t know until the end if we had the parts.

How did you get started as an actor?
This is my first TV show. I was in a school play a couple of years ago, The Little Prince. There were a few of us who shared the title role.

How many episodes did you film for season one?
Loads!

How long does each episode take to film?
The episodes were not all filmed in order so if we had a bunch of scenes, in say the playground, then we would film them in one go, even if they were in different episodes.

Which is your favorite episode and why?
The last one, where they throw me a surprise party. It was great fun to film and Frank Woodley who plays my Dad, cracked us up on set as he is really funny.

On the show, you wear school uniforms complete with a sunhat. Is that standard at Australian schools or just for the show?
For two terms a year, spring and summer we wear sun hats and yes, no hat, no play!

Do all Australian schools have sun shelters like in the episode when Poppy loses her hat?
There is somewhere outside at almost every school where kids with no hats have to sit, maybe under a tree or shade cloth or a sun shelter.

Have you already filmed the second season?
Yes, keep a look out! It starts again in Australia soon.

On the show, your character Maudie is so clever! What do you like best about her?
I like how straightforward Maudie is — even though there are complicated things going on, she always makes everything look simple.

In what ways are you similar or different to Maudie?
I am similar to Maudie in that I don’t really like lots of school yard drama. I also love some of her outfits.

What’s the coolest thing about living in Australia?
Compared to some countries Australia is quite easy-going — the atmosphere is laid-back and people are really nice.

Where is one place in the world you’d most like to visit?
I would like to go to Canada! I have second cousins in Toronto that I would like to visit one day.

Do you want to continue to be an actor when you grow up? If not, what would you like to be?
I would like to be an actor or work with theatrical makeup and clothes, I think that would be heaps of fun.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I attend drama classes which I really enjoy, we read scripts and play games! I also enjoy going to vintage shops looking for cool funky clothes.

Do you have siblings? Do they also act?
I have a brother who is two years older than me but he isn’t into acting.

What’s your favorite movie/TV show?
I really love the Beetlejuice movie and also love shows like Stranger Things and Riverdale.

Is there an actor you’d like to work with/meet?
I would love to meet Lili Reinhart, because of how she shuts down anybody being mean about her body or looks and how she works directly with mental health organizations.

What kind of role would you like to play next?
I would love to be in Beetlejuice or a crazy stage show like that, or maybe starring on a long-running show similar to Friends.

Age that wants to explore alone

Age that wants to explore alone. One of the most hardest time, a child goes through is in their teenage. We can call this time,” Age of collapse”.Because it’s about more growing and time of destructions as well.A child between the age of 10- 20 is considered as teenage. Between these times, teens do meet many people,do loose many. They pass through lots of difficulties, misunderstandings and heavy changes in both body and mind. As a result, they have many bad mood swings due to these changes. And so they act different. They feel insecure regarding their surroundings and life.

One of the major responsible for these bad times are family and society. They keep comparing and pressurizing them for every now and then. Mostly give a lots of pressure from peers, parents and society to conform to conflict expectations. To blame and giving for more pressure, so that teens feel down and useless, they do exaggerate about others. So teens are at a risk of mental and physical health issues. They lack good mentors, role models and heroes. They tempted to begin unhealthy patterns with drugs and alcohol. It’s normal for teens to worry about things. But our elders and society should be helpful to them rather than being too strict. My teenage daughter's social media use has become really obsessive

In teenage, teenagers face nothing but challenges. From these early time of teenage, teens starts understanding emotions, feelings like stuffs.Besides the common teenage problems that teens face today are:Self – Esteem,Body Image,Bullying, engaging in wrong relationships, uncomfortable realtions in parents and family. As a result, they feel anxiety, depression, frustations.Panic seize them. And they feel alone.Being frustrated they took wrong steps n harm thenselves. For these,Parents n society are are way much responsible. Every child have some amazing talents in them. And teenage is the best age to start to explore themselves.

It is the best time from where they can build up themselves and make ready for future. Thus parents and society should be co-operative, courageous and dedicated for them.So that besides studying, they can be busy with their favourite times. And this absolutely be family’s responsibility to look after for them about such creativities and stuffs.Every children can’t be a topper at school. But they are somewhere a champion. It’s us who should help in making themselves. Family should be friendly with a child from the very beginning so that they can’t move for any illegal stuffs. Are Cell Phones Hurting Your Family Bonds? MI Family Counseling Center

Many times we observe that, teens start engaging in illegal relationships and do illegal stuffs in there. After then they r to be pressurized and blamed for more bad stuffs. And these r what they can’t share to anyone and r bound to do negative works. Then they found themselves in a trap that destructs their future. On the other hand, unexpected break up’s shattered them a lot. Thus these becomes one of the major reason for which they be so stressful and so that they engage in lots of risky behaviours.Because they can’t deal with these unfairness in life.Nowadays, social media affects them much. They receive negative tasks more than the positive and possible works.

Their demands start to grow n obviously that turns in stubborness for wrong demands. In such cases, parents and elders shouldn’t loose their temper but be more patient towards them.Elders should come forward to make them for a healthy, happy and comfortable life. Also in keeping them busy n encourage them in their creativity and favourite times beside study. Of course not keeping them in pressure but with lots of love and supports.Being strict is good sometimes. But over strictness can take a negative turn on them.So facing such hazy situations are too natural for this ages. But,if elders have their full support and courage, teenagers will have a beautiful and positive life to lead.

‘HERALD’ – short story

0

‘HERALD’ – short story. The morning light came through the window and touched my face. I felt warm and comfortable. After few seconds the view of the seashore was vivid in front of my eyes. I looked at the clock on the table beside the window. It was 8am in morning. I looked through the window, every time a wave hit on the shore it took away some tiny turtles into the deep ocean. It seems very interesting how those tiny little turtles will grow up in the unfathomable ocean and come back to the same exact place to lay their eggs even though they lived only few minutes on this sands after coming out of their eggshells.

Some kids were there, playing on the beach. They were helping the turtles so that they could reach the sea before any hawk finds it’s breakfast. The whirling wind from the sea came through the window and blew my hair over my forehead. It was like the sea sent a herald asking for me to visit her. All of a sudden a loud voice was calling my name. Everything in front of me started to shrink and vanished into a dot. My mom was shouting my name to wake me up. “It’s Saturday mom! Why did you open the window so early. Oh gosh! Why It’s so bright!”, I said rubbing my eyes. “ It’s 11 o’ clock”, said my mom. I tried to look through the window. All I could see was a bunch of tourists and plastic wastes.

‘Foundation21’ here for a change

0

‘Foundation21’ here for a change,a foundation my friends Sayem Niloy, Mashrukur Rahman, Arish Islam and I started back in 2018 in the cafeteria of Scholastica Senior Uttara. A simple conversation regarding Robiul, a kid who lived at the Uttara Sector 4 slum. Robiul was only 13 years old when we met him and worked at construction sites as his parents didn’t have good enough jobs to support the family. My friends used to play street football with him and thus came the idea of helping the kids in the slum area of Uttara with basic needs and education. We then proceeded to start a second project called the ‘Red Badge of Courage’, Through this project, we aim to supply workshops in rural areas of Bangladesh as well as different schools to talk about menstruation. Alongside this, we will also manufacture reusable pads, sell it for a low price and the proceeds will go towards manufacturing more reusable pads. In the workshops, we will include the teaching of how to make reusable pads with household items, this portion of the workshop will empower women to work, reduce unemployment, and increase menstrual hygiene level. We aim to provide every girl and woman in Bangladesh with necessary menstrual needs by 2031.

If you aren’t aware of what menstruation is, here’s a crash course!

Menstruation is the process in a woman of discharging blood and other material from the lining of the uterus at intervals of about one lunar month from puberty until the menopause except during pregnancy, but in my words, menstruation is the only blood that is tied to creation, the blood that brings life.

What is the problem you might ask,

  • In Bangladesh, the toilet to student ratio is 1:187 whilst the standard according to the World Health Organization (WHO) is one toilet for 25 girls. The study also found that 32% of menstruating girls do not use the toilet at school during their period.
  • According to the Bangladesh National Hygiene Baseline Survey (BNHBS) 2014, only six percent of girls received any education session related to menstrual hygiene at school.

To us what makes a difference is that we can help the 41% of the schoolgirls in Bangladesh who do not attend classes during their periods, and the 73% women who miss their work for an average 6 days a month for infection (reproductive and urinary tract infections) caused by unhygienic menstrual management

Only about 10% of the female population uses pads. To us, helping about 80% of women who use cloth and 10% tend to not use anything, creates a change for future generations.

Our first project was during the Ramadan of 2018 when we supplied iftar, snacks, drinks, school supplies, and books to 70 kids at Chinnomul Shishu Kollan Shongstha at the Uttara Sector 4 slum right by the railway. We started 2019 by hosting a charity football tournament called F21 Cup, Chapter 1 through which we gathered blankets and sweaters for over 30 families who live by the slum. Throughout 2019 we gathered materials and solid planning for foundation 21. 1 During the winter of 2019 we held F21 Cup, Chapter 2 where we raised Tk.15,000 for the manufacturing of reusable pads. You can say the beginning of our 2020 was great as we received a grant of $1000 from a grant scheme called ‘Go Make a Difference’ which is only available to UWC students. We have received the fund for the manufacturing of reusable pads as well as to hold workshops. I had also applied for a TedxYouth at UWC Atlantic College regarding menstruation and foundation 21, which was to be held on the 5th of April 2020, however, the Tedx Talk got canceled as we had to leave campus and come back home, and the project will be executed hopefully when the during the summer of 2021 or whenever COVID-19 is gone and it is safe to carry it out.

You may ask why is the ‘Red Badge of Courage’ our main focus and

Why do I care? Because looking back, I wish I had all the information and proper knowledge of menstruation, I wish I had an atmosphere where menstruation is not a taboo and no women have to hide and sink away while they are bleeding to one day give life to someone.

Why should you care? Regardless of gender, this is something us women bleed through 7 days per month till menopause, we get up stronger, we do everything regardless of menstruation or not. But when the society oppresses you, shuts you down and tells to stop talking about it.”, when society oppresses you from your rights as a woman, that’s when you know a change is needed, that’s when you understand we all need to help women who can’t afford menstrual products and help women talk periods.

Foundation 21 has a great team of talented and dedicated members who have helped us grow as a family. If you want more information on our work or us to check out our Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/foundationb21) or Instagram ( @foundationtwentyone)

Thank you!

The future of Bangladeshi children’s film

0
kids movie poster
kids movie poster

Some time I ask myself What is The future of Bangladeshi children’s film? Most of the children’s films that have been seen have grown up. What I saw at a young age may not be very large in number, but I can’t deny that all the things I saw in my childhood did not meet many of the needs of my childhood. Because I haven’t forgotten a lot of scenes today, even after so many years, because they must have made a four-way walk in my mind. Seeing the title of the writing, you must understand that I am talking about the role of the childish film that moved me in my childhood.

I still vividly remember Shakeel, the master of ‘Holiday Hour’ and ‘Master Sumon’ or ‘Prize Boy’. I remember their mischievousness in the movies, the story of all those children’s movies revolving in my child’s mind, I remember my late father used to take me to the theaters to watch those children’s movies. I wonder how a quality film and a story that is useful for the child’s mind can cut the stain. The trend towards middle-class theaters in Bangladesh gradually waned in my youth. durotto

I don’t hear that the tide has changed so much. On the contrary, the veil of the theater has fallen at a massive rate. The quality, story, commercial success and improvement of Bengali cinema made for a large scale are more suitable in the discussion of these movie buffs. As much as an ordinary film lover like me agrees with the audience – our Bangladeshi cinema has not been able to keep pace with the world. There are many reasons behind it. He will not go to the discussion. I will be in the discussion of children’s films. It is only natural that when large-scale films start losing viewers, children’s films will also start losing viewers. Because the children will not go to the auditorium alone anymore.

But any Hollywood-made children’s movie like Haller, ‘Kungfu Panda’, ‘Trolls’, ‘Jungle Book’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘Peter’s Dragon’, ‘Harry Potter’ or ‘Boss Baby’ When it is shown in a modern digital movie theater in Bashundhara or Jamuna Future Park, there is an overflow of spectators of all ages, including children. In fact, ordinary people want to see beautiful movies, parents want to take their children to the theater. We have the opportunity to trade in this case but we certainly lack the commercialization system.

In the seventies or eighties, although few in number, the quality of the Indian subcontinent in comparison with other movies in Bangladesh, when the production of children’s movies at the same time began to make a couple of the names of which I mentioned at the beginning of writing. But where the quality of Indian films in the neighboring country is gradually increasing and moving towards the stage of competing with Hollywood, our films have come to a standstill at a great time. There are many reasons behind this. Children’s films have already come to a standstill, and the development of adult films has come to a standstill.Akhi

After the independence of Bangladesh, an initiative was taken to make children’s films at the government level. I heard that the decision was made that one of the three pictures made with government grant must be a child. Although it did not happen at all. In the late seventies, Sush Dutt made the acclaimed children’s film ‘Fig Flower’ based on Dr. Ashraf Siddiqui’s story ‘The Boy in the Alley’. Then in 1970 Badal Rahman created Emil’s Gaenda Bahini with government grant. This is the first children’s film in Bangladesh with a government grant. In 1972, Syed Salahuddin Zaki made a film called ‘Galpa Dadur Galpa Kotha’ for the Shishu Academy. In 2002, the late Tareq Masad produced ‘Matir Moyna’ which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

chutir GhantaAlthough many would not call it a completely childish movie. Many more years later, in 2009, the country’s first children’s digital film ‘Durbin’ was made. Priya Kotha is an extraordinary novel by the literary Shirshendu Mukhepadhyay. Director Zafar Firaj has also won the award for Best Film Director in the International Category from the Mumbai Film Academy for his directorial performance in the film. Among the Bangladeshi producers, Mershedul Islam has shown the most success in making children’s films. His works ‘Dipu Number Two (1997)’, ‘Distance’ (2004) and ‘My Friend Rashed (2011)’ became very popular among children and teenagers. But the saddest thing is that the ‘Children’s Academy in Bangladesh’, established in 1986, has so far made only twenty short films in full length and short length.

Sometimes Dipu Number Two ‘,’ Amar Bandhu Rashed ‘,’ Matir Moyna ‘,’ Durbin ‘, some of these children’s movies have been made in isolation, but the children’s films have not become a powerful medium as they have not become commercial. At the same time, with the rapid development of information technology and globalization, the whole world has come under its control. Naturally, the high-tech children’s movies made in the developed world have attracted a lot of children and parents.

That’s normal. Then the developed world has gradually moved away from the real film to the animated movie by making the children’s film as colorful and extreme as the pages of a book. Child animation has been made easier by expanding the color scheme and unreality in the animation. Though small in number, neighboring India is also making children’s films from time to time. As far as I can remember, there is an animated children’s show in Bangladesh, probably ‘Meena’ which was shown on TV in the early nineties.

We all know it as the Minar cartoon. Almost all of us children of a long generation have seen the Meena cartoon of Kisha. However, it was mainly a propaganda drama to spread education with the help of UNICEF. But its widespread popularity among children is undeniable. Then probably in the year 2000 an animated movie called ‘Montu Mia Abhiyan’ was made and aired on Ekushey TV. It had three episodes. Apart from this, I don’t have any information about making a complete animated movie for children in Bangladesh.

We were also able to create two characters, Meena and Montu Mia. Of course this is a remarkable thing. In the developed world, in addition to animating children’s films, they also pay special attention to character development nowadays. Its commercial importance is unimaginable. Let me give a sixth example. I noticed myself after the release of the movie ‘Trolls’বাংলাদেশের সেরা শিশুতোষ চলচ্চিত্র ...

The children liked the colorful characters so much that they started talking about the movie characters in their own environment, who liked which character, who liked to buy. Just at that time the market was filled with dolls made in the form of troll characters. No matter how much the movie sells dolls, the income does not seem to be less. The world has changed.

I will not go here to discuss whether trade is good or bad. But there is no alternative to commercialization if it is to survive. Another thing I have noticed a lot is because of living in exile. Children who grow up here watch lots of children’s movies because they have the opportunity to watch, they have the time and they want to watch. There is no reason not to want to see the current children growing up in Bangladesh. . But the amount of illiterate competition and pressure that the bookworm team has created by stealing children’s childhood has made a large part of parents feel that watching movies is a waste of time.

This is one of the major problems in the commercialization of children’s films. What I was saying is that when my baby daughter or her Bangladeshi friends emigrated to Australia to watch a children’s movie, I thought if I could show them a Bangladeshi children’s movie! If any movie in mother tongue could attract their attention! But I can’t find any movie that attracts the brain of the age in this technique. This is a big offense. We have no shortage of childish stories, no shortage of fairy tales. From the amount of characters in the spread of one Sukumar Roy, we could create so many characters in the minds of children on the big screen.

Let’s take a look back at the history of children’s film. Early in the history of filmmaking, Lumi৫re’s brothers made a children’s film, Baby at the Breakfast Table, in 1895. Satyajit Ray is one of the foremost names in making children’s films for the Bengali speaking community in India. According to ‘Gupi Gain Bagha Bain’, in the land of the diamond king, he has made an experimental and instructive children’s film and has created something for children to watch for a lifetime. Although the first talking film ‘Mukh O Mukhesh’ was made in Bangladesh in 1956, the local directors-producers remained silent for a long time in making films for children. Children and adolescents must have their own world. It has its own type.

Their films should be on the scale of their individuality. That is why children’s films deserve a special significance. The impact of digital media in the age of technology is undeniable. And that’s why talkative films are the most effective tool of the time in shaping a child’s mind. At one time, comics and fairy tales were the mainstay of children’s fiction. Hollywood continues to regularly present every favorite comic and fairy tale character of children on the digital screen. Children and teenagers are being attracted. Trade is also plentiful. The director-producer does not have to think about investing in making children’s films. In the developed world, every movie is rated for its usefulness before being released in theaters.

Which rating the child will be able to see alone, which will require parental companionship, is determined by the rating. The matter is also pleasant for the parents. Because nowadays animation movies are being made only for full adult use. Just calling cartoons cartoons can no longer be called childish. Of course, we in Bangladesh do not seem to have time to think about all this. In fact, it has been made into a children’s film কয়েকটি a few songs in hand.

An organization called ‘Children’s Film Society Bangladesh’ has been formed in the midst of so many children’s films. Since its inception on August 8, 2006, the company has been hosting the International Children’s Film Festival for almost five years. At a slower pace, the company continues to at least organize a variety of activities for children about the film. From the point of view of a viewer and a parent, it is unfortunate to say that film, the most powerful medium for the spread of art literature in today’s technological world, has played such an effective role in educating, educating and educating children in Bangladesh; It can be said that such a dream can be seen in the near future but the outline of the implementation of the dream is not so visible.

However, with this gap in negativity, it can be said that Hollywood and Bollywood children’s films will continue to use our children’s vision to improve their business as well as their children’s films because technology and media are now readily available and fast. However, the tide of development can be seen in the midst of Bengali cinema, which has been made for a large scale, the development story, the use of technology and acting are visible everywhere. The number of visitors is also increasing naturally. This is just an opportunity, if the concerned people take the initiative to regularize and commercialize the production of children’s films in this development, then perhaps a bright future of children’s films can be expected in Bangladesh as well.

Make your beach trip more exciting with Burmese market

0

A trip to Cox’s Bazar almost remains incomplete if you don’t pay a visit to the famous Burmese market. A quick visit to the Burmese market will make your beach trip more exciting.

History of the market

This market evolved from the initiative taken by a Burmese woman in 1962. On a small scale, she set up a kiosk of local Rakhine handicrafts, bags, lungi, bedsheets, churut (traditional cigars), etc. in her home adjacent to the Burmese Primary School in Tekpara. The native and foreign tourists visiting Cox’s Bazar used to take a glance at the things in her kiosk.

Anticipating the demand of the tourists, she commercially opened a store named ‘Unang Cox’s Bazar Cottage Industries’ in front of her house. One by one, Tin tin Burmese store, Rakhine store, Ume store, Nurani emporium, Bibi Fashion Diamond store, etc. were formed. Gradually, that small kiosk turned into the large market that we see today. Though initially there was a shortage in the variety of products, later on, Burmese products like lungi, thaami, flip-flops, pickles, balms, herbs, different types of stones, crafts made of seashells and wood were added to the queue.

Ethnicity of vendors

One might consider the Burmese store to be a store run by Burmese people having Burmese goods. Although the stores do have Burmese products, the vendors are not Burmese. They are Rakhines, more specifically, of Arakan descent.  Ethnically and culturally, the Rakhines have many similarities with the Burmese. However, there are linguistic differences.

In the beginning, the stores were run by Rakhine women. But currently, many Bengalis are also engaged in the business. Many Hindu and Muslim businessmen have built shopping malls that are familiar with the name of the ‘Burmese market’.

Present condition of the market

At present, the Rakhine vendors are very few in number. Now the original form of the Burmese market is barely visible.  Instinctively, people have an attraction to foreign culture and foreign products. That’s why as the sun sets during tourist season, the Burmese market turns into an assemblage of visitors. The sellers earn a satisfactory amount of profit. According to a seller in the Burmese market situated near the Sugandha point, during the tourist season, per day the total earning becomes approximately BDT 30,000-50,000.

Nature of products

As the number of stores is increasing, so is the variety and quantity of products. However, due to the ubiquity of modernized products, traditional products have almost become extinct. As the Chinese products are abundant, we hardly find the Burmese handmade products. Even they import the snails, seashells, and conches. They collect very few things from our ocean.

The products starting from BDT 10 to BDT 500 are available here. The visits of journalists often upset the vendors of journalists. There is a restriction on collecting seashells and conches from the sea. This restriction is for nothing but the welfare of our environment. Collecting snails, seashells, or conches from the sea might hamper the ecosystem. Nevertheless, the fishermen are still indulged in this act to fulfilling the demand of the Burmese market.

Now let’s look at the most popular products of the Burmese market. These are:

Achar (pickles)

Burmese pickles in Cox’s Bazar are mentionable. These are different from our traditional homemade pickles. Pickles of different fruits such as mango, jujube, tamarind, olive, etc. of different price ranges are available. One can find a kind of sweet pickled mango made of thin slices of mango and molasses. There are delicious pickles of sweet tamarind and sugar. The prices of pickles range from BDT 15- 200.

Nuts

The Burmese walnuts imported from Myanmar are special attractions. These nuts are flour and sugar-coated. It is hard to find a tourist visiting Cox’s Bazar who has not tasted these nuts. These are available in plastic bags or jar costing BDT 40 – BDT 150.

Candies

One can find a wide variety of candies in the market. Peanut, coffee, butterscotch, fruit, milk, etc. flavored candies appeal both the kids and adults. Their price ranges from BDT 60 to BDT 300.

Dry fruits

Dehydrated fruits such as pineapples, peaches, jujubes, tamarinds, cherries, and even mangoes are also available at prices starting from BDT 100.

Besides enjoying the beautiful sunset on the beach, one can roam in this market and taste the delicious pickles, nuts, candies, and dry fruits in Cox’s Bazar.

How to go

The Burmese market is  4 km away from the Upazila Council. Presently, there are Burmese stores at Sugandha and Labani points too.

We generally consider children’s films to be useful films from the beginning to the end. We also call such films as children’s films. In fact, by watching children’s films, we get an idea about the world of children, their surroundings, their problems, obstacles, beliefs and misunderstandings. That is why it is said about children’s films that ‘films made with the aim of giving them mental development and pure pleasure by realizing different aspects of the child’s psyche can usually be included in this category (childish).

AkhiThe Pakistan Children’s Film Association was formed in 1956 under the leadership of Kafil Uddin, the secretary of the provincial council. It is also known that in 1956, with the help of various embassies, the association organized a week-long children’s film exhibition at the Naz Cinema Hall in Dhaka. Fazlul Haque, founder and editor of the monthly Cinema, made a children’s film called “President” based on the story of his wife, novelist Rabia Khatun. The first children’s film made during the Pakistani rule We don’t know about children’s films here.

Though film-making started fast in the independent country gained through the great liberation war in 1971, there was no trend of making full-length children’s films. Six years after independence, director Subhash Dutt made a pornographic children’s film in 1986. Fig flower. The story of Dr. Ashraf Siddiqui ‘c Ira curb child “is an adaptation of the film. Despite some controversy rara avis – the country’s first independent film accepted as sisutaesa. Gaeyenda forces in 1980 in the name of Emil Badal Rahman sisutaesa a feature film. durotto

It is based on useful topics of child mind and with the participation of most child artists. Then in 1973 c. B. The award-winning film directed by Zaman also reveals the minds and thoughts of children and teenagers. On the other hand, some people are also interested in calling Azizur Rahman’s Holiday Hour (1960) a children’s film. But there is a lot of debate about that. At present Bangladesh Shishu Academy has taken initiative to organize children’s film festival including production, collection and exhibition of children’s films.

Many have also become interested in making experimental children’s films using the availability of information technology. It is to be noted that the children of our country have also come forward to make children’s films. This is a very promising aspect. The history of child filmmaking is related to the history of film discovery. Exactly 122 years ago today, in 1795, Lumiere Brothers ‘Lomere instrument in cinematography. Discovered. Baby’s Breakfast (1895) and Watering in the Garden (1895) are two of the six short films they made at the time and screened on December 26 of the same year. Later, Charlie Chaplin’s The Kid (1920) was also reported to have been enjoyed by children. Walt Disney’s contribution to the production of children’s psychology-based films.

ডুমুরের ফুল
Dumurer Ful

Undeniable. This popular personality among children and teenagers all over the world achieved great success by using animation method in children’s films at one stage of child psychology experiment. Children’s films can be made based on child-friendly stories, tales and thought-provoking screenplays. Children’s films can also be made with the participation of child actors – actresses or adult actors – actresses. A movie is not just a children’s movie if only children act in it. Similarly, films starring older actors and actresses can also become impeccable children’s films or children’s films.

In this context, on the one hand, Ray’s films like Gupi Gain and Bagha Bain (1969) or Heerak Rajar Deshe (1960) can be recalled as well as the names of the many films in our country in which many children have acted. Childhood becomes a movie. Can’t get up In short, the main consideration in a children’s film is to express the eternal curiosity of the child’s mind or to provoke innovative thinking. But instead, children are used in many films in our country, but their behavior and dialogue projection in many cases, even adults are ashamed! However, the fault lies primarily with adults – not children at all.

Every year for the past decade, a week-long film festival and exhibition for children has been organized in Dhaka at the private level by the Chinese Film Society. We know, artist Mustafa Manowar, educationist. Many people, including Muhammad Zafar Iqbal and producer Morshedul Islam, are the main sponsors and facilitators of this project. Apart from screening of children’s films, the festival also hosts seminars on children’s films and discussions on children. It has been seen that children’s films from different parts of the world including Bangladesh are screened in this week-long event.

আমার বন্ধু রাশেদ
Amar Bondhu Rashed

Hopefully, the size of this project is also increasing year by year. It extends from the public library premises to other convenient places for children or cinema halls in Dhaka. As a result, it can be concluded that the involvement and involvement of children with this program is increasing day by day. The film’s interaction with children is also getting closer and deeper. Not to mention that this initiative is very good for the children of this country. But in spite of this, as its scope and range is not long lasting, a large number of children in this country do not get the news of the mentioned arrangement.

In addition, children’s film festivals for a variety of reasons. They are deprived of this joy and happiness. Although children’s representatives from different parts of Bangladesh participated in the festival, it can be said that the described image revolves around the children of the capital. But despite this, the initiative and organization of the Chinese Film Society in the development of children’s films is very positive. At one time, only the Children’s Film Society used to organize children’s film festivals in Bangladesh.

At present we can see that Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Bangladesh Shishu Academy have organized film screenings for children in different parts of the country in a festive atmosphere. This is a very promising thing. Though the organization of Chindren Film Society is limited to Dhaka and only a few divisional cities of the country, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is going to hold a film festival in 64 district Shilpakala Academies of the country simultaneously. Since Shilpakala Academy has branch offices in every upazila of the country, so in the near future this activity will spread to the upazila level as well.chutir Ghanta

It is easy to expect that he will gain. It must be done. This is our strong demand. According to Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the activities of Bangladesh Shishu Academy are also going on in every district. Bangladesh Shishu Academy can also take such initiative at the district level. The film medium has become a social institution today due to its unique features, qualities and effectiveness. Just as the reflection of the various activities of the society affects the film, the various activities of the film also affect the society.

Since its inception in 1895, the film medium has been in a state of flux with society. Films of various forms and genres have glorified the long history of the advancement of world cinema by meeting the needs of people from different walks of life. The continuous trend of making films of different forms – genres or races – species (mahatbas) is a constant proof of this. At the same time, the film continues to prove that it is a powerful social organization by appealing to different classes of people. But the consumer considers that in any society the numerical aspect of the child is higher than the number of all other class consumers.

This global reality is also acknowledged in the context of Bangladesh. It is also acknowledged and visible that the rate of production of children’s films is not satisfactory as compared to other (films of all classes except children’s films) class-genre films. The same picture of despair is observed in the case of Bangladesh. Frustration about making children’s films in Bangladesh is also multidimensional. There is a positive trend of making children’s films in Europe, America or developed countries. Japan and South Korea have also been added to the list.

The continuity of the oil can be seen in the film-making activities of the countries concerned by showing the conventional words, stories, myths, fairy tales and legends of the countries concerned with the diverse application of technology to help the children. Children’s films based on creative and science fiction can also be seen. In addition, the production of animated films based on narrated stories has also gained popularity in those countries. Not only that – that wave of popularity has reached Bangladesh.

The children of Bangladesh have also welcomed those films or animation films. But we do not know that there is a precedent of making such films in Bangladesh. Again, the number of children’s films made in our country as a whole is very inadequate. Moreover, children are far away from the film due to the dilapidated state of the display system. Is forced to stay in one position. On the other hand, the government has provided various benefits to the producers for making children’s films and even though there are announcements of tax exemption, the producers are not very interested in it.

In that case, we have to accept with a heavy heart that there is a dearth of thoughtful and talented children’s filmmakers in our country, and there is also their reluctance to make children’s films. So there is no reason to think that there is a severe market crisis for children’s films in our country. Despite having an immense number of consumers, the meaning of having such an acute market crisis for any product is also mysterious. This mysterious crisis may or may not be overcome by formulating a healthy film policy. We have seen that our youth and even adults do not show much interest in Bengali films, especially in Bangladeshi films.

On the contrary, they have a kind of indifferent and arrogant attitude towards Bangladeshi films. We do not think that their indifferent and arrogant attitude is completely unreasonable. One can see from their indifference and arrogance that Bangladeshi films have not become everyone’s films till date. Today, in the minds of those who are older or especially in the childhood of the young community, Bengali films, especially in the corners of Bangladeshi films, have not been able to quench even the slightest hunger for an ideological place. Proof of

The number of films in this country is about four. Since its inception in 1956, it has been possible to achieve this quantitative position in the number of films produced every year. This achievement is part of a long history. If we want to know the names of more than four Bangladeshi films including Dham, anyone can know where the time is. But sadly, not even 1% of these films have ever been made with children’s entertainment or childishness in mind. This can also be said emphatically.

The children of the past are today the youth – crossing the boundaries of youth and standing in the line of adulthood. They are the mango people of this country. But they also did not get a taste of their childhood – adolescent films in adolescence – nor did they get a taste of children’s films. So how can a child who grew up without a film be a film lover in his youth, how can he be sensitive about film in his adulthood? Today is the time to think deeply about such questions. It’s time to dump her and move on. We have to be determined with this in mind. We have to sit still and think about the future of today’s children – about youth, about their future maturity.

We have to think that we want to build our future generation as a film sensor. ‘And if this desire of ours is universal, then there is no substitute for the gift of child-friendly films in front of today’s children. The children of our country have to give them useful and enjoyable films. They have to be given a film that will make them real Bengalis and patriots in the future. At the same time they will become the possessors of scientific thinking. With a sensible mindset of a combination of technology and culture, children will go beyond their childhood and adolescence into adolescence.

And in old age, in the realm of steadfast wisdom, this geography will spread the lofty thoughts and great philosophical barriers of Bengal. Their thoughts will spread all over Bangladesh – in all creation. Sadly, today, in many ways, we deprive our children of their childhood right after birth. We are also deprived of the opportunity to grow up in the company of children. We have not been able to provide improved food and nutrition for our children, nor have we been able to provide improved tastes and education.

They have been deprived of advanced applications for years. Therefore, the fault of eternity is still in the process of forming a nation. And with that flaw, the full development of a nation flows in parallel with the Oz question. Whether that development is possible at all is a big question. We throw our children into a dependent cultural circle right after birth. Film of foreign words, stories, myths or fables is presented to them through television. The all-time companion television medium also appears to our children with the most compelling embodiment of technology with the most compassionate fiction or story of absolute innocence with an aggressive ‘bag’ of antiquity.

Before the children understand anything, the seeds of parasitic and foreign culture enter their minds. These seeds one day turn into trees. The wind is no longer felt in the shadow of this Bengal tree. As a result, to him, the thousand-year-old culture of abhaman Bengal seems to be as extinct as this Bengali nationalism. Therefore, the eternal culture of Bengal is ‘old-fashioned’ to them. They are indifferent and arrogant towards Bengali films and Bangladeshi films.

Producer Mershedul Islam is making films for the children of this country at the same time as he is also making films for the children. So far, Dipu Number Two (1997), Sharat ’71 (2000), Distance (2004), Doll’s Marriage (2010), My Friend Rashed (2011) have created interest in Shishu-Kisha as his children’s films. Children are also responding to the film Ankhi and His Friends (2018) which was released on the 22nd of this month.

Through the formation of the ‘Children’s Film Society’, he is also making children interested in filmmaking, especially film watching, critique and production. He has also been organizing the International Children’s Film Festival every year for almost a century under the auspices of Chiscreen Film Society. Initially, the festival was limited to the capital Dhaka, but in recent times, the festival activities of the ‘Children’s Film Society’ are gaining momentum in various major cities of the country.

Every year in January, the International Children’s Film Festival is celebrated with the slogan ‘Fame is the dream of the future’. More than 200 children’s films from 54 countries have been screened at eleven venues in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Chittagong. In each exhibition, the children have the opportunity to enjoy the film with their parents. One of the attractions of this festival was the film competition made by the children of our country. Although 70 films were submitted in this competition, 21 got the opportunity to be screened at the festival. Among them 5 films were awarded.

It is worth mentioning that the children were also the members of the judge and jury in this competition. Disadvantaged children were also invited to the festival. We hope that the future generation of filmmakers will be born out of a new generation of children. The people of this country will become curious instead of arrogant about the films made by them. Today’s children of our country will transcend from childhood to adolescence and from adolescence to adulthood in the balance of Bengali life and contemplative films by glorifying the traditional philosophy and expression of Bengali with Bengali thinking. Hopefully, this adventure will start with a children’s film.

Ditya Bhande

Ditya Bhande was the title winner of the kids dance reality television show Super Dancer season 1.She was born on 29 November 2006 in India. She made her acting debut in the musical Tamil film Lakshmi. This film was written and directed by A. L. Vijay, starring Prabhu Deva and Aishwariya Rajesh. She acted as a school girl who loves dance. Group member of i am hip hop kids crew Dance India Dance season 7. Ditya is all of 11, and she’s already a National dance competition winner and played the lead in a film whose language she cannot speak. She’s starred alongside one of the best dancers of the country, as a bonus. She doesn’t quite get the magnitude of what she’s done. It’s all because of Prabhu dheva, she says. “A few years back, Prabhu sir came as a celebrity judge to my reality program, Super Dancer,” she says. “That’s why he recommended my name when Vijay sir came up with a dance script featuring a girl.”

Ditya, who began dancing at the age of three, hasn’t compromised on academics in pursuing her passion. “School gets over around noon and I practise till 5 pm. After that, I play with friends and spend sometime studying. I score good marks in all my exams despite my tight schedule.” She also reveals that she has plans to start a dance class for children her age soon.

She says she would have accepted the offer even if Lakshmi wasn’t a dance film. “Just the opportunity of acting with Prabhu sir is more than enough. There’s no way I was going to miss that.” Naturally, she found dancing to be far easier than acting. “The talkie portions were initially tough for me because of the language, but Vijay sir and his team were encouraging. They wrote all the Tamil dialogues for me in English and made sure I understood the meaning of every word,” she says.

She goes on to talk about her relationship with the filmmaker. “Vijay sir is the sweetest person I’ve ever met in my life. He treats me like his own daughter. He took me out for dinners whenever we got free time during the shoot and threw a grand party on my birthday. Prabhu sir, on the other hand, is very silent and focussed when it comes to acting,” she says, and excitedly shares that she learnt a lot of new footwork from Prabhudheva.

Having faced an audience from the age of seven, Ditya says she never experienced stage-fear. “Though acting is an entirely different game, I have been facing the camera from a very young age and that helped me a lot while shooting for Lakshmi. Ironically, the character I play in the film experiences stage-fear during a particular sequence and for the first time in life, I had to act like I was afraid of the audience.”

The 11-year-old actor says she was full of energy throughout the shoot and never once got exhausted. “We shot from 6 am to 6 pm on most of the days. But I hardly felt tired. Vijay sir named me Red Bull because of my high energy level,” she says with a laugh.

This trained hip-hop dancer is seen performing a high-energy kuthu dance in the trailer. “I started my career with freestyle dancing, so it is easy for me to adapt to any style as long as I practice enough under a good teacher,” she says.

Ditya also reveals that Aishwarya Rajesh (whom she refers to as Aishwarya am

ma), who plays her mother in the film, doesn’t have a dance sequence in the film as her character hates dance.

Asked whether she believes it will be hard to deal with all the admiration that is coming her way, she says, “No, not at all. I actually feel very happy when people request a selfie or appreciate my work. People have started to recognize me after Lakshmi’s promotions. I once went to pick Vijay sir up from Chennai airport at 1 am, and even during those wee hours, a fan recognized me and took a picture with me.”

Questioned whether she wants to become an actor or a choreographer, she immediately replies, “Both! Right now, I love dancing and acting equally. When I become an adult, I want to take up both as a profession like Prabhu dheva sir.”
